Angels in Provence

Nothing beats a glass of chilled rosé after a busy day on the French Rivera.

On my recent trip to Saint Tropez we decided to drive up to the renowned vineyard Chateau d’Esclans, home of my favourite rosé Whispering Angel. This beautiful estate is situated in the heart of Provence, northeast of St. Tropez and was everything I hoped for. A romantic alley of century-old plane trees led to the 18th century Tuscan-style Chateau, surrounded by thousands of blue flowers that matched my blue Meshki dress perfectly.

Me and my friend were treated with a behind-the-scenes tour of the estate. It was fascinating to see how the wine was made and the tour obviously also included some tasting of Whispering Angel, possibly the most famous rosé in the world. We also got to see the private chapel of the estate, with paintings of angels whispering the secrets of the wine god Bacchus.

I felt so lucky to have the opportunity to visit this beautiful place and me and my friend surely felt like angels when we were there, but in all honesty not whispering but rather chatting, smiling and enjoying a wonderful day in Provence.
