La Maison Ani - New culinary destination in London

Earlier this year, Knightsbridge got a new culinary temple where people like me can worship great cooking: the French-Mediterranean restaurant La Maison Ani, situated in the Jumeirah Carlton Tower close to Sloane Street.

I’ve always loved French cuisine, and being a devoted foodie, I always come running whenever a new French restaurant opens in London. So I naturally went straight to Knightsbridge to check it out—and it was love at first sight!

I really like the vibe of the restaurant, a philosophy they describe as “the essence of togetherness, the calmness of beautiful things, filled with euphoria and aromas.” But most of all, I love the food…

La Maison Ani is named after the family of its’ chef, Izu Ani, who has made great success with the La Maison Ani concept in Dubai and whose culinary style combines all his experiences from cooking in Normandy, Paris, and the Middle East.

Passion is important, also when it comes to cooking—and Chef Izu’s passion for food can be felt in every part of the classic yet contemporary menu of La Maison Ani.

Last time I had lunch there, I went for aubergine with tomato, feta, and shrimp, together with grilled vegetables, and it was so good.

I’m sure I’ll be back soon—because there’s lots on the menu I want to try!
