Boost your health with a Breakfast cocktail

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day and I normally go for fruit and eggs. But its’ also good to treat yourself with a healthy ‘Breakfast cocktail’ to give you a really great start of your day!

A proper breakfast cocktail gives you an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant boost and helps you stay hydrated. There are many different recipes of course but these are the top three ingredients you always should include in a breakfast cocktail:

  • Ginger

  • Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

  • Coconut water

You can cook your own ginger shot, but it’s quite practical to buy premade ginger shots. The same goes for ACV. My current favourite comes from Willy’s and includes honey, lemon and black pepper.

So how are these ingredients healthy? Well, the combination of ginger and ACV can help improve digestive health and ease symptoms like bloating and indigestion.

And the coconut water’s electrolytes combined with those digestive benefits of ACV and ginger can you keep a proper hydration and electrolyte balance, especially after exercise – or when you’re ill.

Yes, a cocktail like this one is quite sour and I usually drink it with a glass straw to avoid ruining my teeth - but this horse kick is a great way to kick-start your day!
