Positano: vertical beauty by the sea
The Amalfi Coast in Italy must be one of the most beautiful and romantic destinations in the world. Among its many picturesque villages, Positano stands out, famous for its dramatic cliffs, colorful buildings, and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Positano is sometimes called “the vertical city” because of its steep and narrow streets, with houses almost clinging to the mountainside. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes or sandals when you’re exploring these amazing streets lined with vibrant shops, restaurants and hotels, cascading down the mountainside towards the beaches. There are plenty of stairs to climb, views to admire and food to eat!
According to legend, it was Poseidon – the Greek god of the seas – who founded and shaped Positano because he wanted to show his love for a nymph named Pasitea. And yes it’s a romantic place for sure. It’s easy to fall in love with Positano.
So what are you waiting for? The Amalfi coast is waiting for you, and it always delivers!
