Paolino - A Capri Classic

When in Italy, you should obviously enjoy the Italian cuisine. And even though fancy big-city restaurants with superstar chefs do have their charm, it feels wonderful to find a restaurant that feels more genuine, more personal, and that is still run by the same family that originally founded it.

Ristorante da Paolino on Capri is such a restaurant. It traces its origins to the 1960s when Michelina and Paolino began cooking for locals and random tourists. In 1976, they obtained a restaurant licence, and the family-owned establishment became an instant hit.

Throughout the decades since, tourists, locals, and plenty of Hollywood celebrities have frequented this wonderful place, enjoying great Italian food and a true sense of La Dolce Vita, surrounded by countless lemon trees.

It’s still, after all these years, a family restaurant. New generations are honouring the great tradition of quality and hospitality, and you can truly feel that dedication and love.

It’s no secret that I love Italian food, and the dishes served at Paolino are simply amazing. If I didn’t have to leave for London, I would probably still be sitting there, eating pasta and listening to classic Italian love songs while overlooking the stunning view of the beautiful Capri coastline.
