Seed cycling – can seeds balance your hormones?
We’ve all heard the proverb “you are what you eat.” But what if you actually can balance your hormones with a specific diet? Seed cycling is a big thing right now. It is a diet rooted in alternative medicine and holistic healing, focusing on eating different types of seeds at certain times of the month to help regulate your hormones
Hormone balance is important for our well-being and we women know all too well how the menstruation cycle can affect us, and the idea with seed cycling is to give the body the right nutrition at the right time of the month, to support the body with what it needs in each phase of the cycle. Some seeds like Chia seeds or Flax seeds are for example rich in Omega 3 and antioxidants, and different seeds have different benefits that can suit certain times of the month. It’s all about wellness, balance and support. In a totally natural way.
There is still debate about how effective seed cycling is, and there’s still no scientific evidence supporting this diet. But it makes total sense to me, cause there are plenty of studies that suggest that the micronutrients in seeds are very beneficial for our health!
Give your body what it needs! Eating healthy keeps us healthy! And it’s never wrong to listen to Mother Nature!
