Painting Without Rules: Finding Freedom and Self-Expression in Abstract Art
Creating art, for me, is all about letting go - just throwing yourself into the process and letting your mind wander wherever it wants. Especially with abstract art, which is what I love to create, it feels like a way to let off steam and pour my emotions into shapes and colours.
I usually prefer painting outdoors - there’s something so freeing about it - but let’s be real, this time of year isn’t exactly ideal for that. So, I retreat to my little art studio instead. It’s my private space where I can get totally messy with my canvases and let the creativity flow.
You may know me as as quite a structured person. I mean, when it comes to planning shoots or organizing travels, you have to be on top of things. But that’s why I think I love painting so much - because it’s the one thing where I can be the complete opposite. Messy, impulsive, and completely free. No rules, no plans, just pure creative chaos. And honestly? It’s so liberating - it feels like food for the soul.
Being able to embrace that chaotic, creative side is such a big part of who I am. We’re all complex people, right? Full of contradictions and unique quirks. Art is my way of expressing all those different sides of myself. I hope that when you look at my paintings, you can see little pieces of my soul shining through.
