Healthy Winter skin
Winter is tough on your skin and at this time of the year a proper morning skincare routine is crucial for me to fortify the skin’s barrier.
Using a hydrating oil cleanser helps maintain the skin’s balance, while a moisturizer with humectants like hyaluronic acid retains moisture.
My current favourite is a moisturiser and toner from Augustinus Bader. It has something called TFC8® (Trigger Factor Complex) which is a patented technology known for its regenerative properties, promoting cell turnover and collagen synthesis. When included, TFC8® helps improve skin texture and tone and enhance overall skin health. This rich cream also includes Vitamin C, an antioxidant that offers additional benefits by neutralizing free radicals that can accelerate aging. It brightens the complexion, evens out skin tone, and supports collagen production.
Combining TFC8® and Vitamin C in a face moisturizer offers a synergistic approach to nourishing and rejuvenating the skin, providing a more youthful appearance!
And lastly, just before leaving the house I always apply a broad-spectrum SPF shields against UV rays, preventing photodamage. This routine ensures a resilient skin barrier and guards against environmental stressors during colder months.
Your face is your best friend! So always be kind to your skin, and especially so during wintertime and cold weather!
